How much will you pay for my old records?
The value of your record is all about how rare it is. The condition of the sleeve and of course, the condition of the record itself. It’s a bit like a used car. We need to see it to help you get the most for your collection. For larger collections we will make a house call. Just contact us here if you have a large collection. Are you open every day?
We are open 7 days a week and only close on 6 days each year. New Years Day Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. You can see our opening hours here.
My records have lots of static, dirt & hiss. Can you clean them?
Absolutely. We use the industry leading Audio Desk System Premium Ultrasonic vinyl cleaner. For $4 we will clean your record and provide a pro anti static sleeve. You’ll be amazed at the difference as hiss and static is greatly reduced. Our clients all love this service that can transform used records. Contact us here.
My records are warped, can you flatten them?
We sure can! We have an amazing machine that gently heats the edges and center for two hours and then lets the records cool over two hours. It literally flattens the record and does not damage the sound. Please be aware that this service is only available locally for sorry drop-offs and pickups. It’s not available by mail order. Can you recommend anywhere to donate my old music?
We donate to three organizations in Novato and they are all within a short distance of our store. Hospice Hodgepodge is at 910 Grant Avenue. The Book Place takes CDs and is at 1,608 Grant Avenue. The Goodwill Store is round the corner at 936 7th Street. Learn more here.
Do you only buy vinyl?
Our preference is vinyl, then cassettes, even reel to reel and 8 track. We are less interested in CDs and 45’s. If you have old stereo equipment that is in good condition we offer a consignment service.
